THE WOLVES THAT ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

The North American Pack

Duma and Dakota are sisters and are our oldest wolves.

2Apart from losing about six inches of her tail as a result of her problems with Lunca, from the front most people think she is a very photogenic wolf. She likes to be the centre of attention and sometimes plays up to achieve this.
Dakota (born 1998)

8Duma is the full sister of Dakota. Her looks have improved as she has matured and she is now a very charismatic wolf. She keeps Dakota under control, and tells her off when her attention seeking becomes too much. She is the Alpha female in the group but thankfully she does not have to resort to bullying to maintain her position.
Duma (born 1998)

The European Pack

Latea and Lunca were the first European wolves to be raised in the UK in over 500 years.

7 Latea has taken over as the Alpha female in the European pack. She is still unsure of her status and as the hormones are still in a state of flux she is quite aggressive towards Lunca, the deposed Alpha. She has also been seen to give Alba a telling off when he has displeased her. It all looks and sounds much worse than it really is.

Latea (born 1999)

6Lunca is Alba’s full sister. Until the start of the 2005 breeding season she was the alpha female but has now been deposed by Latea. We never thought we would see the day when she was entirely submissive to another wolf let alone Latea. Non the less, just occasionally Lunca shows some of her old spirit and gives Latea cause for thought.
Lunca (born 1999)

The Canadian Pack

Siblings Mai and Mosi arrived in May 2006 from Dartmoor. They were joined a few days later by Torak, from the Anglian Wolf Society.

10Mai is very affectionate and when greeted by a human friend quite often lies on her back submissively for a tickle on her tummy. She is showing signs of being the Alpha female in the juvenile pack, allowing Mosi to check out new situations and people before committing herself. Like her sister Mosi, she is a Mackenzie River Valley wolf with a handsome black face emphasising her amber eyes, and a dark grey dappled coat.
Mai (born 2006)

12Mosi came to us from the Dartmoor Wild Life Park. She was always the most submissive cub when she was small, but that's changing and she is showing all the traits of a Beta female, checking things out for Mai and Torak. She is playful and daring, always the first into any new situation. Like Mai, she is a Mackenzie River Valley wolf with a beautiful black face setting off her amber eyes, and a dark coat, dappled with lighter grey.
Mosi (born 2006)

9 Torak is a gentle but aloof male wolf. His mother is a North American wolf from the Dartmoor Wild Life Park and his father is related to our European wolves. He is very leggy, much taller that his pack mates. He has been known to try to give his human friends a lick, even when he has a mouth full of food. If he decides that he likes you, he can be very sociable but he can be very standoffish if he is unsure about you.
Torak (born 2006)
