Kodiak is 13 now, a grand old age for a wolf. He is a little stiff when he first gets up but that soon passes when he gets going. He is on medication to help to keep his joints flexible. He will not leave the concrete yard in front of his kennel until he has had his sausage containing his medication. He was recently moved from the bottom enclosure to the top as it is several degrees warmer there and it is felt that he deserves to be in the warmest enclosure as acknowledgement of his great age.

He still has one human friend to interact with in Colin Thorne, one of the founder members of the Trust. To see them together is wonderful.
We are waiting to see how he copes with the stresses of the breeding season. Last year he didn't seem to have a clue and Duma particularly got very frustrated with him.
