Alba is an 8 year old European wolf and full brother to Lunca and Latea. Fully mature, he presents a great image especially when he hackles up at someone he is unsure of through the fence.
He broke the C2 vertebra in his neck in 2005. Since then he has been receiving intensive therapy to help him to become as fit as possible. The latest thing has been to swim him in a hydrotherapy pool. It cannot be said that he likes it but it is certainly improving his mobility, strength and stamina. He is probably the only fully grown male wolf to be swum in a hydrotherapy pool!
This European wolf is representative of the indigenous wolf that would have roamed the forests of Berkshire centuries ago and, with his sisters Latea and Lunca, form the first pack of European wolves to be born and raised in England in 500 years.
